Weddings
I am an experienced Brisbane wedding harpist, specialising in playing the harp for wedding ceremonies. Having live music at your wedding creates a uniquely intimate atmosphere and there is nothing more elegant than walking down the aisle to the music of the harp.
I have a huge collection of wedding songs and other music from which you may choose your wedding ceremony music for your special day including traditional wedding songs, classical wedding songs, classical harp music, popular wedding songs, Irish harp music, Celtic harp music, medieval harp music and hymns.
If you have a particular song in mind that doesn't feature on my list, I am usually able to write an arrangement of it on the harp, provided adequate notice is given and the song is suitable to be played on the harp. I offer this service at no extra cost.
Wedding Ceremonies
· Harp music beginning 15-30 minutes prior to the scheduled time of the ceremony to entertain your guests (and help relax your husband-to-be!) and set the mood for the wedding.
· Processional Music as the bridal party walks down the aisle
· Music during the signing of the registry
· Recessional Music as the bridal party exits
Other music can be played at various points throughout the ceremony if required, for example to accompany a candle-lighting ceremony.
Wedding Pre-Dinner Drinks
Having a harpist for your wedding pre-dinner drinks is a very popular option to help your guests mingle and relax, while enjoying their drinks and canapes, while you're getting your photos taken. A one hour booking is usually sufficient.
Wedding Receptions
To add elegance to your wedding reception, you may like to have a harpist playing background music as you sit down to your first meal as husband and wife. You may choose some special songs for important parts of the reception - for example, when the bridal party enters, the cutting of the cake, the first dance, etc. Rates
